Sun And Fun At Mission Beach In San Diego

Visit Website

Enjoy fun in the sun at Mission Beach, a classic beach town in San Diego. A little over a mile long, Mission Beach is at the center of the Golden Strand, which is the area between Pacific Beach and South Mission Beach. Lounge on the sands, play some beach volleyball and enjoy swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, and fishing in the Pacific Ocean. Walk, jog or ride a  bike along the boardwalk, lined with shops, restaurants and attractions. Head to Belmont Park, a boardwalk amusement park - originally built in 1925 - with rides, arcade games, bumper cars, rock climbing and mini golf, as well as the iconic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster and the Wave House. One of the most popular beach areas in the City of San Diego, Mission Beach offers a vibrant nightlife with plenty of bars and music venues. Just a half-mile off the coast are several shipwrecks that were placed here to create an artificial reef for scuba diving.
