Public Food Market

With so many cultures and cuisines, finding the quintessential San Diego flavor can be daunting — but Liberty Public Market comes pretty close. Modeled after Seattle’s Pike Place Market and San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, the collection of artisans and food vendors here offer plenty of sweet treats and samples to satisfy a crash course in San Diego gastronomy. Our favorites include Eggies, one of the best spots for grab-and-go breakfast in the city, and Officine Buona Forchetta, an exquisite pizzeria with some spectacular seating options.
