Halloween in San Diego – Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina

San Diego’s sunny days are bright and cheerful, but the nights are filled with shadows that hide monsters. Here’s where to find spooky fun on Halloween.

Big Parties for Grown-ups

Put on your best costume and head out to the Monster Bash. Too big to be contained indoors, the event sprawls over eight blocks, and features 20 DJs and multiple stages and themed areas. You’ll get drink specials and beat the cover charge at dozens of restaurants and bars in the Gaslamp and East Village, too.

Join the Zombie Crawl and join other creatures of the night at 25 venues in the Gaslamp. Hit the grand opening party before following one of the mapped routes or charting your own path to escapes where your drink tickets get you welcome shots and specials.

Little Scares for Little Kids

For the younger monster seekers, head to Legoland for Brick-or Treat Party Nights. The park is open after dark with trick or treat stations, a haunted castle, ghost cruise, and more. There are more mild scares at SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular, where there’s the chance to trick or treat, see how an otter and sea lion spend the holiday, and more.

Retreat to Safety

After a scary night out, the Best Western Plus Island Palms is a comforting, safe retreat. Our location means you won’t have to run far to escape the monsters and our comfortable beds mean there won’t be any nightmares. In the morning, you’ll wake to sunshine, bright days, and our many amenities that make the Halloween horror a pleasant memory.
