Labor Day 2017

The end of summer doesn’t mean the end of fun. Labor Day Weekend in San Diego is filled with lots of great special events so the summer season ends with great memories. Here are some special ways you can spend Labor Day Weekend in San Diego.

Festival of Sail

The Festival of Sail starts with the Parade of Ships on August 31. Then explore the visiting ships and the ships that make up the Maritime Museum through September 4. There are special events throughout the weekend, including cannon battles and several boat trips.

Baseball

The season isn’t over yet! See the San Diego Padres take on the LA Dodgers  in a four-game series at Petco Park. Special promotions at the game include Party in the Park at the Friday game, giveaways and post-game fireworks on Saturday, and Kidsfest on Sunday.

Harbor Cruises

San Diego has one of the most beautiful harbors around, and a harbor cruise is a great way to enjoy views of the ocean and the downtown skyline. The special Labor Day champagne brunch cruise includes a delicious meal with drinks and dessert along with a narrated harbor tour.

Unique Experiences

Experience Native American culture at the Barona Powwow. There’ll be drumming, dancing, and more. Or pretend you’re in Italy at the Julian Grape Stomp Festa. Stomp grapes, drink wine, play bocce, enjoy Italian music, and mangia!

Nighttime Fun

Party away the last nights of summer. The Labor Day Sunday Club Crawl gets you VIP treatment with drink specials at four of the hottest clubs in the Gaslamp.

Make Your Own Fun

It doesn’t take a formal event to make Labor Day Weekend fun. Make your own good times at Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina. With amenities including walking/jogging paths, free bike rental, tennis courts, and swimming pools, you can have a great time just kicking back at the hotel.
