This year’s Lunar New Year on January 28, 2017 is the Year of the Rooster according to the Chinese zodiac. SeaWorld, just 5 miles from the Best Western Plus Island Palms hotel in San Diego, is celebrating the new year for almost a month, from January 28 through February 20.

The shows at SeaWorld are always spectacular, featuring awe-inspiring┬ástars like orcas and dolphins, as well as the ocean’s clowns, sea lions and otters. During the Lunar New Year festival at SeaWorld, there are more awesome shows featuring amazing Chinese acrobats, lion dancers, and a dragon parade. You can also get a taste of Asia at the Lunar New Year Festival at SeaWorld; their festival area will showcase Asian cuisine.
