Easter in San Diego

Easter is April 16, 2017, and there are great ways to celebrate all around San Diego. Here’s where to find the Easter Bunny, search for eggs, & have family fun while enjoying San Diego’s springtime beauty.

Belmont Park

Belmont Park is San Diego’s beachside amusement park. For Easter, Belmont Park has a special Easter egg hunt on April 16. With 12,000 eggs scattered around the property, there’s plenty for everyone to find. You may be the lucky ones to find one of 25 golden eggs! Be sure to show the Easter Bunny your finds and pose for photos. You’re also sure to find delicious eggs, among other yummy treats, on the special brunch menu at two restaurants on-site.

Seaport Village

Seaport Village, San Diego’s harbor-side shopping destination, will be hosting the Easter Bunny on April 1, 2, 8, 9, and 15. Stop in for photos and browse the shops for unique gifts. There are great restaurants for dining in view of the water, too.

Pacific Southwest Railway Museum

Hop on board the Bunny Train at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum on April 8, 9, or 15. You can ride in a train car or up front in the locomotive, mingle with the Easter Bunny, and collect eggs to turn in for prizes. The train ride takes you through beautiful mountains and it’s a great way to see even more of the San Diego area.

San Diego Botanic Garden

Easter and spring flowers come together at the San Diego Botanic Garden. Enjoy a party with the Easter Bunny on April 15, decorate your own bunny ears, and complete the look with bunny face painting. There’ll be other crafts activities, along with the chance to see beautiful springtime blossoms.
