Heroes Brew Fest
Mix comics, music, and beer together and what do you get? Heroes Brew Fest, a great outdoor festival in San Diego’s Waterfront Park on July 22. Waterfront Park is right near the San Diego Convention Center, so it’s easy to add this event to your visit when you come to San Diego for Comic Con.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to taste great craft beer, especially if you purchase tickets for the early access unlimited tasting event with more than 50 top beers. There’ll also be food available for purchase. See comic book artists including Lord Mesa at work and see live comic action a whole new way, through the use of augmented reality and virtual reality enhanced works displayed on large LED screens. The musical soundtrack for the event is set by two DJs and a headline performance featuring Hodor from Game of Thrones! Come in costume and enter the Costumed Crusader competition.
The event starts at 2pm with early access, or 4pm for general access, and runs until 8pm, so it’s a great way to spend your evening outdoors after a day inside at Comic Con. Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina is just a few miles away, so you can enjoy every minute of mingling with other beer-loving comics fans at Waterfront Park and still get back to the hotel in time to enjoy dinner in our restaurant if you’re still hungry.
