Where to See the Parade of Lights in San Diego
One of the city’s favorite traditions is the annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights. This 49th annual event features over 80 boats and yachts festively decorated with twinkling holiday lights for spectators on the shore to enjoy. This years theme is San Diego Comic-Con and we can’t wait to see the participating boats! Held December 13th and December 20th, this is one holiday tradition you won’t want to miss. The parade begins on Shelter Island, making the festivities just steps away from your hotel room. Here is the approximate arrival time of the parade at various locations:
- Shelter Island (start of parade): 5:00 PM
- Harbor Island: 5:30 PM
- The Embarcadero: 6:00 PM
- Seaport Village: 6:30 PM
- The Pier at Cesar Chavez Park: 6:45 PM
- Ferry Landing on Coronado: 7:00 PM
