San Diego Blues Festival
Chase your blues away! Spend a day enjoying the San Diego waterfront and great blues performances at the San Diego Blues Festival in Embarcadero Marina Park North on Sept 9.
The great lineup is headlined by legendary Mavis Staples, who’s been performing more than 60 years and contributing her talents to the Civil Rights Movement as well as gospel and blues sets. Performers at the event include California Honeydrops, Joe Louis Walker, Blue Largo, Leo Bud Welch, and other great acts on two stages. There will be nine great performers in all, filling your day with music from 12 noon ’til dark.
The setting in Embarcadero Marina Park is part of San Diego’s spectacular waterfront. You’ll be right near Seaport Village to enjoy shopping, dining, and fun activities before. You also might just want to head to the park because there’ll be music outside the gate before the doors open. Dance your way in to the sound of harmonicas.
