San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival – Best Western Plus Island Palms
Foodies descend on San Diego for the 14th annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival November 12-19. Top chefs, top restaurants, top meals, and top wines put this event at the top of the culinary calendar.
There’s a great line up of food-inspired events. Of course, there are tastings, courses, and special chef encounters. The Fish Taco TKO event lets you help decide who makes the best taco in San Diego (seafood and tacos are a truly local pairing given our location on the ocean just above Mexico!). Head to elegant La Jolla for the Ocean-to-Table rosé wine luncheon, where 10 participating chefs contribute to the menu. Participate in a blind tasting with master sommeliers or learn to bring Spanish flavors to your supper in a chef-led session.
Turn a golf game into a flavorful experience, with the festival’s golf classic. The 18 holes are split with 6 featuring food tastings, 6 featuring spirits, wines, and breweries, and 6 featuring special competitions and prizes. Who needs a 19th hole?
You won’t want to fill up on popcorn at the Flix: Fermented event. Enjoy a screening of the film Fermented, which explores the many roles fermentation plays in enhancing our meals. See for yourself at the post-screening party with tasting stations.
End the week at the Grand Tasting event in San Diego’s Embarcadero Marina Park North. More than 60 chefs, 30 gourmet food companies, and 150 wine, beer, & spirit vendors make this the biggest, best picnic you’ll ever indulge in.
